Is SIMnet easy to use? ›

Easy-to-use study modules: Students can receive instructional content, projects, and assessments to help with course assignments and real-world applications.

SIMnet® is McGraw Hill's industry-leading Microsoft Office training and assessment platform designed to build students' skills in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Access. SIMnet also boosts computer concepts, operating system and file management skills.

Once you have created an account, you may gain access to your SIMnet textbooks by paying for access directly only, activating a registration code, or using Courtesy Access. Your school may elect to make offers available for you to purchase your course materials directly online with your credit card.

How does it work? By injecting encrypted data into any SIMnet Project or Resource start file download, SIMnet can uniquely identify each student and their work.

Chromebooks are fully compatible with SIMnet Lessons, Exams, SIMpaths, and SIMbooks. Auto-graded project assignments are only compatible with Chrombooks if the project is labeled as Office Online and require using Microsoft 365 in your web browser.

Life-Long and personalized learning for students

A SIMnet license does not expire – so the student may come back into SIMnet both in and beyond the course for continual learning.

The minimum requirements are 1010 pixels wide by 660 pixels high. SIMnet no longer requires Flash Player.

Accessing your SIMnet course starts with the SIMnet Home Page. On the Home Page you can sign in to your account, purchase access to your online materials, register, and get help.

Enter your SimNet registration information, and then click the Next button. All the information must be entered before you can complete the registration and purchase process. 7. Next, select your method of payment – either a credit card (or debit card that can also be used as a credit card) or a PayPal account.

We offer trial access to a wide-variety of our programs and products online so you can explore your favorite lessons and evaluate our classroom solutions to see what's right for you. Simply find your program, let us know who you are, and we'll email you a user name and password. It's that easy.

Can you use SimNet on a Mac? ›

To use SIMnet projects on a Mac you will need to install Microsoft Windows. In addition, you might want to use a productivity software such as Microsoft Office on your mac. Most businesses use the Microsoft version for their business.

SIMnet is browser dependent, not operating system dependent. Note for Projects: Students must complete their project with Office 2016 or newer and must complete using instructions for their OS: Mac for Macs, Windows for Windows. For more information visit here .

McGraw Hill Connect doesn't directly catch things like switching tabs or using outside help. But with Tegrity Proctoring, instructors can keep an eye on your webcam, screen, and even where you're taking the test from. Basically, if instructors want tougher rules, they can set them up.
