New City He was 77 Mr Sheeran was born Sept 24 1920 in New York City to Hugh and Cecilia Maloney Sheeran rom 1945 to 1962 he lived in Eastchester and Bronx ville He then moved to New City residing there from 1962 to 1982 when he moved to South Yarmouth Mass Mr Sheeran graduated from Iona Prep Holy Cross College and Harvard University Business School He also attended ord ham University Law School He worked as a banker for 34 years retiring from Hudson Val ley National Bank in Yonkers In 1982 he and his wife moved to Massachusetts During World War II Mr Sheeran served as a lieutenant with the US Navy He belonged to the Veterans of oreign Wars in the Cape Cod area of Massa chusetts He also was a member of the Lions Club in Westchester and the New York State Credit Grantors of Westchester On Sept 22 1945 he and Katherine Van Wagner were married at Holy amily Church in New Rochelle Mr Sheeran is survived by his wife of South Yarmouth a son John Paul Sheeran Jr of North Clarendon Vt three daughters Noel DeBoyace of New City Margot Rooney of El Segundo Calif and Patricia DeMarco of Ho Ho Kus NJ two sisters Ann Marie Van Ness of Bellair la and Norma Schaefer of White resident died Saturday I May 16 1998 at his home in New Smyrna Beach la He was 79 He was born July 3 1918 to Leo and Eva Pouliott Vannier in Hudson alls NY where he attended schools and graduated from Glens alls Academy In 1941 Mr Vannier received a degree from Union College in Schenectady NY He also graduated from the midship I school at Northwestern I University in Chicago and served as an ensign in the North Atlan tic and South Pacific during World War II Mr Vannier lived in Washing ton state and worked for Alexan der Smith Carpets there until i joining American Cyanmid in Wayne NJ as an executive He retired in 1983 He lived in Armonk from the mid 1950s until the late 1970s In 1942 he married Nancy Wallace She died in 1974 In June 1978 he married Mar garet Dickhaus in Armonk They lived in Brookfield Conn before moving to New Smyrna Beach in '989 He was an avid golfer and a member of tne Sugar Mill Coun try Club in New Smyrna Beach In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Susan eder of Duxbury Mass and Pamela Whiteley of Kingston Mass a stepdaughter Susan Wallace of Chatham NJ a step son Robert Dickhaus Jr of Atlanta a sister Burtrice Juck ett of Hudson alls
